Red Mitten is a group of individuals who have learned the importance of building collaboration and trust across government, business and the community. We are dedicated to helping organisations work better together, to help build purpose and be more successful.

We are specialists in supporting social impact and not for profits to be more viable, more visible and achieve growth.

Red Mitten is inspired by the life of Evelyn Ryan, a mother of ten children who supported her family when they faced eviction, hunger and separation by entering and winning slogan writing contests in the fifties and sixties. She used her creativity and ingenuity to win prizes using wit, poetry and perfect prose.

Evelyn created a device she called a ‘red mitten’ to make her jingles stand out and catch the eye. She was very competitive but she was also kind - she reached out to countless other women across her community and supported and encouraged them to enter & win prizes too. Through her efforts, Evelyn’s prize winning ways kept her family together, got them through school and kept them safe.

Red Mitten provides advice, support and practical assistance to social impact and not-for-profit organisations who feel that they don’t stand out or attract the right kind of support. We know how competitive it can be and we are happy to work with you to find the right opportunities to partner or collaborate.
